Update: it worked! It's only been 20 minutes and my inbox is filling up with people that really, really like seals! Kind of sad, one guy said he can't even tell his wife how much he aches for beautiful seals. Our first seal club meet up is tonight at a state park. Wish me luck. :D

“No seals or sea lions”

Everyone up and down the coast had told me that the docks by the Safeway was the place to see seals and sea lions. After several unsuccessful trips, I asked someone in the store about them. Turns out the Corp of Engineers had scared them away with a mechanical orca. Yep. Mechanical orca. Would have both loved to see the seal, and see the mechanical orca.
