Cy-Gor is a character that was made up for the toy line and then later appeared in the comic and Shadowhawk is a character that has no relation to the Spawn comics at all. She-Spawn sounds suspiciously like the same kind of bullshit as Cy-Gor, but I couldn't tell from a quick search and who wants to spend all night learning about "Spawn" action figures?

That's the point of the company. Image provides the brand name, marketing, publishing and distribution.

Most of Image's founding partner studios got caught up in the whole "LOOK! BETTER THAN SPIDER-MAN 'CAUSE HE'S A DEMON FROM HELL AND ALSO IT'S MATURE 'CAUSE THEY SAY WORDS LIKE FUCK LOOK AT THIS CHICK'S RACK I DREW SO HUGE" hype cycle. McFarlane didn't suffer the worst from this hype cycle - I'm not sure Rob Liefeld's anything more than a bunch of retraced Kirby drawings badly positioned together - but McFarlane sure refocused from art to overpriced baseballs in a hurry.

I know you mean Lack Kirby but I choose to imagine Rob Liefeld's interpretation of Kirby the Nintendo property instead.

I guess he would look kind of like Dizzy from the Codemasters games except upside down with no feet and a lot more pouches.

Oh, absolutely.

There was a rare Maxx figure with an included White Iz that never saw a store shelf since those kinds of things get picked off in stock rooms. Helped me learn at an early age about the bizarre underbelly of toy collecting. And I wanted no part of it.

I don't know, from a purely design perspective I'd take this over Spawn figures any day:

But yeah, Spawn stuff was pretty good quality, maybe on par with Sectaurs or at least close.
