This little film was brilliant. Effectively creepy and absolutely hilarious.

Haven't seen Split yet so I don't know if this being a good movie was a fluke or he's actually gotten over himself and that whole "FROM THE MIND OF M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN" thing.

Split was... pretty good? A sorta by-the-numbers but effective supernatural thriller. Don't think about it or digest it too hard, but it was enjoyable in the moment, and as well shot as all of his stuff. If I were a suggestion bot, I would say that if you liked Misery and/or 10 Cloverfield Lane, you will like Split.

There's a gimmick (not really a "twist") at the end of Split that is so bad I tried to post it here on PoetV.

There's nothing wrong with making really enjoyable B-movies. I'd rather he just did that than try to be seen as an important auteur with a "Message".

I'd heard of the gimmick beforehand, but not the specifics, so for the whole final 30 minutes of the movie I was waiting for Bruce to pop in and save the day. It was pretty distracting.

No, in the new RE7 DLC you're Chris Redfield in a panda suit mowing down hordes of zombies with a full-automatic grenade launcher while you uncover the accounting secrets of the Umbrella corporation because Capcom is dumb and doesn't understand what people ever liked about their stupid games.
