First viewing sold me. Then I watched it again and saw the NSA spy drone at 0:24. This is one for the bucket list.

I grew up on RML and Ren and Stimpy, and it's become more and more apparent that Rocko's is better and always has been.

infinite zest - 2017-07-22

This might be a bit of a stretch (for several reasons) but comparing R&S to RML is kinda like comparing Crumb's Fritz The Cat to Spiegelman's Maus.

he he oh my

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-07-21

I'm thoroughly amazed that this feels like the exact same show, right down to how well it's animated. This has to be the same team who worked on the original show.

Remember what happened when Ren and Stimpy made a return? I've always feared a Rocko's Modern Life revival since that train wreck of horseshit. Although this clip has alleviated those fears. This looks wonderful.

il fiore bel - 2017-07-21

There seems to be a Nicktoon revival these days. Even Hey Arnold! is getting the movie that should have been made 15 years ago (the actual Jungle movie, not the one released back then).

Cena_mark - 2017-07-21

Hey Arnold was screwed by the first Hey Arnold Movie. It was just supposed to be a straight to video release, but it was pushed to the big screen because the Rugrats Movie was such a big hit. The Hey Arnold Movie's box office disappointed Nick who soon let it die after that.

il fiore bel - 2017-07-21

Huh, I thought Hey Arnold! was screwed by Nickelodeon trying to push Craig Bartlett into another season of Hey Arnold! - which he didn't want to do at the time. I understand he wanted to work on other projects, and make a spinoff with the Patakis, taking place a few years later. He always wanted to make The Jungle Movie, as it followed the series finale, so it seems he's doing it now. My only hope is, since he already spoiled the entire plot of it 10 or so years ago, that we'll get a completely different plot, but with an ending similar to the original one.

BiggerJ - 2017-07-21

il fiore bel: It's been confirmed that, at the very least, the movie will be extremely meta. So at least it won't be like something that popped out of a time capsule and cares not for our modern ways (cough cough Duke Nukem Forever).

Gmork - 2017-07-21

nah

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-07-22

There's a clip of the upcoming Hey Arnold Movie on YouTube right now and one thing that bothers me is that in it the concited rich girl (Rhonda I think her name was?) has a smart phone. So like, did they travel through time?

Caminante Nocturno - 2017-07-22

Hey Arnold! sucked.

Redford - 2017-07-22

I like how they re-did the intro with modern technology. That bit alone totally sold it for me.

il fiore bel - 2017-07-22

I'm guessing they'll make one of those jokes that they have no intention of explaining. Either she'll be the only one with a phone (because she's rich) or something about the decade not being revealed.

Cena_mark - 2017-07-22

Gmork once again being a contrarian GDork. No one can hate Hey Arnold.

Caminante Nocturno - 2017-07-23

People can hate Hey Arnold! if they have good taste.

il fiore bel - 2017-07-23

Yes, yes, Cammy, we've established that your taste is superior to everyone else's.

15th - 2017-07-21

I kinda wish they just carried on like none of this happened.

Caminante Nocturno - 2017-07-22

One of the best things about this show is how much they were able to sneak past the censors so frequently. I don't know how well they'd be able to pull that off today, for a variety of reasons.

Still, watching this made me happy.

this is great timely social commentary of like 7-8 years ago. Even the simpsons isn't this behind the curve.

props for being hand drawn though, looks like?
