Mary was pretty awesome from what I recall. Probably my favorite Tobal No. 1 character, just because she broke the mold so hard for women in fighting games at the time (or even today, really).
Was it Tobal 1 or 2 that had the dungeon crawler mode? I had a friend who imported tons of games back in those days (dear lord there was a ton of cool shit on the PSX that never came stateside) and I'm pretty sure it was one of those I remember that had like a Dungeon mode thing that was not bad.
Square tried it again later on in Ergheiz, but man that game was kinda terrible (at least, I thought so).
