Relax, if the city gets destroyed, the Atlantians escape in a flying saucer.

Imajic made some pretty cool 2600 games, but if I recall since Atari was so unfriendly to third party developers, they had to do that shit where the carts were not the same shape as the "trade marked" official Atari ones, so I always had trouble getting them to work quite right. I remember in the NES era this was a big thing to since a few companies (notably Codemasters) would not submit to Nintendo's seal of approval nonsense, so they made their own carts which fit like crap in the machine.

Tengen's black carts.

I had wondered why the Imagic cartridges were different. I thought they were cool. They were silver with beveled edges like they were made from crushed Cylons.

I had "Atlantis", "Cosmic Ark", "Demon Attack", "Riddle of the Sphinx" & "Dragonfire".

The difficulty curve in "Cosmic Ark" was a fucking cliff.

Riddle of the Sphinx made no sense to me whatsoever, even with the manual. But I was really into Cosmic Ark and Demon Attack...prolly my favorite shooters of the Atari Era. I also was really into Laser Blast, but then when I realized the trick to basically surviving infinitely it became boring. (that was the only Activision game I ever bothered actually getting the high score patch for, mainly because it was so easy to do so)

Cosmic Ark is one of my favorites, but yeah, the difficulty curve is fucked!

This was my most played cartridge.
