Total genius. No question. I like this tune, but it's kind of a slap on the wrist for an authoritarian leader that annexed Crimea, occupies Ukraine, executes journalists, jails political rivals and puts gay people in concentration camps. But what else can Newman do? Songs and satire are his bag, and they are no match for a brutal, murderous dictator.
Yeah. Honestly it's not what I'd consider one of his better songs (I only favorited it out of complete and utter rage, obvz) but I'd consider him a musical treasure in the same way as I would Lou Reed post-VU or Leonard Cohen in terms of songwriting talent.
