Also some guy wrote a new compiler for the levels. It was getting to the point where it would take literally a month to compile a level like this, now it can be done in hours.

Like new Doom, I'd like to see Id take a stab at brushing the dust off of Quake.

Quake has a great editor. I appreciate all the tricks of the trade on display. Classic level layout, too.

That map looks like it would be fun if you made it low g. I hope one day someone makes a mod for Quake that is similar to the Brutal / Brutality mods for Doom.
