I do have to give the Juggalos some legitimate credit: they're not into body-shaming.

Between that and their consistent stance on chopping up bigots they're OK in my book.

Yeah some years ago I got schooled by someone on this very site because I misinterpreted one of their songs when I heard it as inciting a hate-crime, but when you actually listen to it it's really as innocent as The Germs, which is still to say that shit hits headlines and whatnot, but after that I've learned to kinda like them despite really disliking this entire musical genre.

Things are in perspective, that's all. They're mostly harmless, naive idealists who like to get fucked up. They can't hold a candle to 2017.

Juggalos are better than a lot of fandoms, or whatever you'd call it. They're aggressively inclusive, supportive and fun loving. I'll have to look up this doc, a bunch of dipshits tried to cash in on the ol low hanging fruit LOL juggalos, but the filmmakers were by far the grossest people at the festival.

Also credit to them for spending a decade creating their own complex-yet-dumb allegorical mythos and for sampling a lot of Gong records. I'd take Violent J over Jeff Buckley any day.

and speaking of drama associated with artists, I had to basically lifeguard an old ex girlfriend out of Lake Mendota because she was drunk and feeling suicidal and wanted to go out like Jeff Buckley. :(

(15 years later she is married and has 2 kids and owns a Gym in Minnesota) :)

We'll see how consistent their stance on chopping up bigots is soon, as the alt right and juggalos have Washington protests planned on the same day within one hour of eachother.

I think we missed last years's trailer and the one before that too. We hit ICP peak in the '08-'10 time frame but now we're pretty blase about them. Looking forward to their Trump march next month in Washington.
