Ha haaaa, futile grievance!

I haven't really watched his new show, but I clicked on a clip of him interviewing Michael Keaton after Spiderman came out and figured they'd talk about Birdman, which they did. At no point did Colbert mention a thing about Harvey Birdman. Not that I thought he would, but it's just.. goddamnit. Besides Rick and Morty I'd trade in everything on Adult Swim for more episodes of Birdman, and I'm pretty sure that includes Venture Bros.

Harvey Birdman started out pretty much perfect, and gradually started disappearing up its own asshole. It got to the point where an episode was 70% references to other random things from previous episodes.

I do generally like how adult swim shows become more crazy and dadaist as they proceed and I love HB but its humour became too reference based.

Honestly, everybody who voiced for this show is currently doing really important stuff, so it would've happened originally. Michael McKean was at a low ebb here and he's now the most important character on arguably the most important drama currently on television.

Vince Gilligan seems to be running a rehabilitation clinic for comedic actors who want to do serious work.

I say Chuck's problem is, he believes practicing law is truly a sacred calling, but he also knows that he has not lived up to his own standards of conduct. Being too ill to practice law was his subconscious's attempt to resolve the conflict.

... and of course, this being Chuck, it couldn't be a "normal" disease like a spastic colon. No, it's a disease where he is sensitive to energies that most of us are too coarse to even notice.
