Telenovelas are fucking insane, even today. I used to do my laundry at some place where the staff always put this stuff on the TVs there and I couldn't believe what was in them. 80% of them would be like most soap operas, just boring drama shit, then there would be some weird twist like the main character drowning his entire family in a fountain and then propping them up to make them look like they were sitting there. Stuff like that.
