I honestly am not getting it...is that 2:00 jellyfish supposed to be a lot bigger? I dont think it is. Is it the dark column in the background? what is that?

I dunno maybe it was because it was closer to the lens, but it suddenly just sank in how utterly alien these things are. Even though, you know, they were here millions of years before us and we probably evolved from them.

I once heard a deeply insane theory that the Tree of Knowledge Of Good And Evil was mankind’s spinal column before it was sealed in bone, and were you to extricate the brain, spine and nerves outside of flesh, they’d resemble a jellyfish, and man’s “curse” was to leave the free floating of the undersea environment, calcify into solid forms, and each successive generation becomes more solid and less fluid. We’re all just jellyfish in walking flesh robots.

I'm with you, fedex. It's just some jellyfish. Jellyish are cool, but they aren't scary unless they're close enough to sting you (and then they're really scary, depending on the kind of jellyfish)

I also did not find these particularly spooky, but between the ambient John Carpenter noises and the big dope one at 2:00, I did find it pretty bad-ass
