I wasn't convinced at first, but if it's from the same team that brought us The In-Laws then it must be good.

What they need to do is make a crossover sequel between this and Throw Momma from the Train. They can make a new cinematic universe out of it.

Who hasn't remembered this classic? Haven't you see the video games, the fanfiction, the Peter Falk and Alan Arkin cosplay?

The Falkarkies (as we call ourselves) have an annual convention in the Poconos.

Even the V.O. guy sounds terribly disinterested.

I miss creepy voice movie trailer announcer guy. This one sounds like he should be doing a more flat voice and talking about some horror flick like The Hills Have Eyes, not whatever this is.

It's probably because it's a pan-and-scan (or unmatted, not sure) 4:3 trailer obviously transferred from a VHS tape but it looks like a middling made-for-TV movie. Nothing about this trailer seems big-screen worthy.

Also, maybe just because it reminds me of cars that were still common on the road in my elementary school years, but I kinda like the circa 1979 Ford Fairmont for the unassuming design.

Speaking of which, I still see late-1970s/early-1980s Ford Fairmonts show up every now and then at classic car cruise nights. Someone out there likes them enough to have preserved a couple of them.
