Oh man did I love this movie as a kid.
I wonder how it would be on rewatch.

It's a little dated, but still pretty good, I think. It's a fairly cheesy sword and sorcery story, the kind of thing you'd find a zillion of on the VHS rental shelf back in the 80s, but with a lot of class and style. Not a masterpiece or anything, but still pretty good.

Saw it in the theater. When I finally rewatched it as an adult, yeah, it holds up quite well. I think partly because it's just self aware enough about the cheese. It aged much better than most movies of its genre from that period.

I've seen LadyHawke a couple of times on VHS but I swear I remember watching it in a school gym too, possibly at Cub Scouts.

LadyHawke seems to have been a bit weird of a selection for a Cub Scout movie night in retrospect.

Still love the Hell out of this movie.

The soundtrack is pretty fun.

We need a Beautiful Mess tag and start applying it to Dune, Excalibur, Legend, Highlander etc. This period of time in filmmaking is my all time favorite just for the amount of weird, overly ambitious passion projects that got greenlit.
