I'm thinking that KMart used 3M background music (they had perhaps the very worst music in the industry). I know they used 3M message repeaters (those are the things that insert the "Attention Shoppers: . . . " messages into the music).

my local k-mart is finally closing. They are having their 'going out of business sale'. all the 'sale prices' are still higher than what you would pay for the same stuff at Target. This is why they are going out of business. I'll still miss them, though.

I'm actually really enjoying this. Not sure what that says about my musical tastes...
