I'm not sure what his deal is. He's flirted with Scientology in the past, but that town ain't big enough for somebody to rival Tom Cruise, his son is doing some hardcore Borgia dynasty betrayal stuff right now, and his choice in movies is just baffling. I get that he wants to avoid being the natural heir to Morgan Freeman, playing the Uncle Tom/Magic Negro, but he's not succeeding if that's what his goal is.
