Most of this was straight up recycled for the 90s movie. Dan Ackroyd has a tendency to hoard his scripts for decades.

I can’t tell if this is from 1965 or 1995.

It's kind of neat that the cast from the film voiced this. Other than that I'm struggling to find redeeming factors in this 3 frames per second of animation pos.

5 stars for the laugh track alone. God this is awful

As far as I can tell, the Coneheads pilot was the last Rankin-Bass production where the grunt work was done in Japan by Topcraft, the studio that would soon become Ghibli.

The original sketches were something that probably seemed far more amusing to people who were baked.

For some reason I'm reminded of the Boba Fett cartoon from the Star Wars Holiday Special. But otherwise this is pretty bad.

i wonder how much this cost, there seems to be a pretty good amount of detailed animation given the fact that it's coneheads
