So I think all these ACR prototype weapons ended up as the end-game Small Guns in Fallout 2. I remember the H&K G11E was like the best Small Gun you could get, but the ammo was kinda rare.

Yeah. I remember this being basically the best rifle in Fallout 2. I remember the pistol that shot .308 as being the best handgun that you get early in the game.
