I really hate it that you don't approve of my internet activity, but I know somehow, I will find the strength to carry on.

People upload all kinds of shit on Porno sites, especially horror movies, but I also recently found a file of Frank Zappa's 200 MOTELS. Basically, I go where google leads me.

I do like porn, though. I can hardly deny that, but not rape porn. Mostly, I like seventies stuff. I'm not ashamed of that. I'm not really into Boxxy these days, but Catie Wayne always going to be my hero. Everyone knows that she is unnaturally photogenic, she's incredibly courageous, and smarter than you or me. If I hadn't moved on, it would have been pretty fucked up, but the point of going through a phase like that is to grow beyond it. It's just awkward to go through something like this so late in life, but it was a seminal moment in the birth of internet culture, which is going to be the culture from now on, and I got to watch it in real time. The dark side of the Boxxy phenomenon, which was generated by 4chan, was a preview of Gamergate and the Alt Right.

Well in my own defense, the other movie I've been struggling to subtitle is Zazi Dans Le Metro by Louis Malle. My tastes are eclectic, my passion is finding interesting movies to stream for NMR.

No problem, it just made me think. I didn't know what it was about, and I thought it might be what it's like when someone confronts my interests for the first time, either my electronics and radio fandom or Dog mania.

If you said the movie was gratuitous as a whole, okay, sure, but in a horror movie about rape zombies, the opening rape scene is important, because it establishes a link to the reality of rape as a crime committed by men and not just by monsters. The fact that the rape occurs in the context of marriage underscores the patriarchal underpinning of the.violence. Hope that clears things up for you.

JHM I think this is a spot on observation. There is a separation between PoeTV itself and MNR even if MNR grew out of PoeTV. There's been further attempts to strip MNR of poetv branding for this reason.

It makes sense if we want to improve the numbers for an MNR showing that we do some things like post promo videos or clips that highlight some of the stuff that plays during MNR this this movie in particular wouldn't even fit the bill of MNR to begin with. More something we should watch on an non-MNR / offnite showing. Additionally the MNR forum would be a place where you can provide long-form context to this clip and movie.

Over time we'll figure out through posts like this was is the appropriate level of cross pollination between MNR and PoeTV.

Beta, this movie is fucking crazy. It concludes with the nuking of Tokyo, a brief nuclear winter, and the birth of a glow-in-the dark baby who is apparently some kind of messiah, to a lesbian couple. Part two begins with the seizing of power by Japan's first female Prime Minister, and a feminist government. I don't know what happens after that.

My present intent is to stream this on my next MNR night, which isn't for two months, but only after midnight.
