Saw one of the mall chock full of MLP plushies for $2 a go. Figured it was a false economy.

Fascinatingly boring. Sad to know I'll probably never get football duck.

The series is about half a dozen videos long but it looks like more than half of them are about how to identify the rare claw machines that aren't 100% rigged.

This is pretty boring, but it's also the only video I've seen about claw machines that wasn't 100% bullshit, clickbaity garbage. As a person who works on these games my advice to people would be, the older it is, the likelier it is to have some element of actual skill involved. Also the better the prize is, the less likely you are to win it.

I've got to admit I find it boring in a kind of fascinating way. This guy REALLY, REALLY likes claw machines and I can respect that.

Motherfucker owns his own claw machine to practice on.

1 - You put in money.

2 - The claw fails to pick up anything.

3 - You put in more money.

4 - Repeat steps 2 & 3 until you run out of money.

5 - Once a week, someone comes by to empty out all the money & shuffle the stuffed animals around so they don't become obviously faded from sitting under the harsh light.

And that's how claw machines work.

I saw one of these filled with live lobsters the establishment will cook for you if you get one.

Old_Zircon - 2018-06-16

Last time I saw one of these was out in rural NEvada about 7 years ago at a roadside diner. Even knowing nothing about claw machines I could tell that one was rigged because along with the cheap stuffed toys it was full of clear plastic eggs with cash in them, from $5 up to a couple of $100 bills, and there's no way they'd have put anything worth more than a dime in a claw machine if there was even the slightest possibility of someone winning it.

Supposed to be a reply to chumbucket.
