Mike Jones Those lying propagandists at Vice are the ones who turned me onto this shit, so I give them that. Shame about the comments being disabled cause I was going to go medieval on their faggot ass's. I would have left such intense shit talking there, Vise's employee suiside rates would have risen sharply after.

Old_Zircon - 2018-06-26 Yeah, I wasn't particularly offended (and agree with him that the typical idealized military propaganda stuff is worse than anything shown here).
But also this is a good demonstration of one of the reasons we need a draft again, because an all volunteer military self-selects for a lot of the people who should be farthest away from military service. A lot of these guys come off like the G.I. Joe types that my friends who joined up because it was their only realistic option for making a living tend to hate.

SolRo - 2018-06-27 Human empathy is at it's heart a product of one's environment. if your experience is that of a certain people trying to kill you then you will easily think that killing that certain people in self defense or retaliation is justified. If you grew up surrounded by 'civilized' and 'educated' white people, it may be easy to see hostile non-whites as sub-human or mammalian.

I lasted 20 minutes. Sebastian Junger has written a book called War that is in part about the disconnect between our lives and those of soldiers. If you're not into reading he also helped make the documentaries Restrepo and Korengal.
Any of those three works would be a better use of your time than watching private-edge vs communications-major.

I'm concerned as to the authenticity of their staff's military careers, I heard there were a few scandals in the black rifle coffee company or something similar. Turns out people love to prey on vets, what a surprise!
