and now there's more space for Teen Titans Go.

Gmork - 2018-09-07

do grown people actually watch teen titans?

I did squeeze out a couple tears but I could have cried more

Yeah, the end of 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' had more impact for me.

It was good they ended Adventure Time. Imo it peaked around season 5 and wasnt the same after Pendleton Ward left..
It was still good, but it seemed sorta 'aimless' .. The way it was going under Pendletons direction it really seemed to be *developing*, eg. Finn getting older, Jake getting married and having kids. I was expecting in a couple of seasons Finn would be an adult and momentous stuff would have happened, rather than the classic TV show formula of everything being the same at the end of an episode.
They really struggled just after Pen left, eg. the whole bit where Finn lost his arm, then got arm back, then lost again + lots of weird stuff.. But they did recover somewhat with the 'stakes', 'elements' and 'islands' miniseries.. But still those miniseries were mainly about revelations about characters back-stories, and at the end everything went back to normal pretty much, following that TV formula.

The end was good very tho. Cudos.

The Mono no Aware is real!!!

According to this bloke AT was going to ended after session five so it's not surprising that Pendleton Ward left after that session's production.

This was a really cute ending but I also kind of felt like the rush was on to tie up all the loose plot points. Having a big baddy show up at very end only to become magically good felt like it was ripping of some of the lazier points of Steven Universe.

Thought the 1st season was brilliant but it felt like after that they turned it over to the Tumblr fanfic department who had a tough time writing gags beyond random Lemongrab lines.

Especially when it became The Marceline Show the same way The Office turned into The Jim & Pam show.

The fun will never end.

Great show, great finale. 5 stars.

cognitivedissonance - 2018-09-07

Was never really a fan of this show, but the Chinese rip-off version is fantastic.

boner - 2018-09-07

The original cartoon sure got a lot of favorites here.

I liked the original pilot, but never got into the actual show. The actual show just didn't work for me.

I travel too much to subscribe to cable. Guess this is another series I'll have to catch up with on one of the streaming sites...

Old_Zircon - 2018-09-07

Did Adventure Time stay good? I kind of lost track of it around the end of season 3, not because I didn't like it just because I had other stuff to do.

Marlon Brawndo - 2018-09-07

Ditto. I saw some second season stuff but the show was so all over the place to begin with. I lost track of what was happening in terms of any story arcs so this is all just kind of blah to me. I'll give it five stars for running as long as it did but I don't like the fact Finn lost his arm, which I just found out about.

I add my name to the list of people that would have rather seen Jake become an adult on the show since that was where Pen was going with it. It could have had a Harry Potter kind of thing to it where the last few seasons take on a more mature tone as he explores love and finding his purpose. Oh well.

betamaxed - 2018-09-07

The show was consistently good and worth watching all the way through. As usual ignore the nonsense from internet folks who have wildly out of whack expectations for what a show primarily made for children should have been about.

smoothw - 2018-09-07

OZ the show becomes especially weird and spiritual in season six with multiple episodes devoted to like astral journeys and such, a must watch (and pretty good all the way through I thought).

Nominal - 2018-09-09

Adventure Time started as a bunch of fun, self contained episodes with a lot of clever gags.

Soap opera story arcs and soul searching was the last thing it needed. It slowly turned into another Steven Universe and now Finn is Rick from Walking Dead what?

dairyqueenlatifah - 2018-09-09

I remember seeiing the pilot episode of this show, that was posted on this very site years before the series proper premiered. I really enjoyed it. Was never a fan of the series proper though. It felt way too by-committee for me. Glad it's over.
