Old_Zircon - 2018-09-26 Nom, you do realize that 2016 had the second highest voter turnout in almost 70 years, right? 2008 was just a hair higher and 2004 was essentially the same but other than that we hadn't broken 60% since 1968.
It's actually interesting, I hadn't looked at a long term breakdown of voting rates before, it kind of contradicts the "higher turnout favors democrats" theory, at least in presidential electons, since the four highest rates of voter turnout since then have elected Nixon, GW Bush for a second term, Obama and Trump, and all of the other elections since 68 have had WAY lower turnout (low to mid 50s instead of low 60s).
At any rate, we're still seeing some of the best voter turnout since before WWI right now, which isn't saying much.
Third party votes in the general election are always a waste though.

Claude, not Claudia. Tenney is a coward who only appears at closed-door events. She has not held a single "town hall" meeting which was open to the public.
Claude beat Myers because she had a bigger dick, riding her Harley on the Trumpian white-male rage wave.
The district is a gerrymandered mess, she wins by getting all the hick votes within the sprawling boundary, just eeking out enough votes to beat our more-urban areas. If enough BU students voted, and the urban turnout is high on election day, she could fall.
I've been thinking of running against her next time around, forcing a primary. Should be easy enough, just need to massage the messaging. Hell, even some Democrats around here would vote for an Eisenhower-Republican candidate.

What is the origin of that meme? Every time there's a mass shooting, people repaste it in the comments section.
I don't have the exact data at hand, but isn't it more typical that mass killers become either dead or religious [as they await execution]?
