The Mothership - 2018-12-29 Lagavulin is solid, and very predictable. Both the 16 and the DE are very good. For my money, Caol Ila 12 and Bowmore 18 are the Islay malts that are the best bang for the buck these days. I say this as someone who worked in the Scotch industry for sometime. On that note, search out independent bottles of whiskies to try new things, that's where the really good stuff is!

This is a rare, pristine POE TV specimen. If not for the HD quality, it would be easy to think it came from 2006. Posts like this were so common a decade ago. Now it's like finding Coca-Cola in tiny green glass bottles.

On a less meta note, that scotch is terrible. If you licked the inside of a chimney, that's somewhere close to the flavour, but I guess that's superior to the bitter taste of reality.
