New or old, they're one of my very favorite genres.

One of my proudest achievements is still the time my high school band were tapped by a friend of the drummer's family to be the backup band for her local cable access live Halloween special back in 93 or 94, and cut a private press cassingle with her.

Sadly there's no surviving tape of the show that I've ever been able to locate, although I do have a copy of the cassingle someplace. Other than the two original songs we mostly stood around the set in cheap costumes of our own design, occasionally playing instrumental covers of Minor Threat songs on banjo and flute to see if anyone would realize (they didn't).
