This was a fantastic game that took many of my quarters, but the best part is the ending where the characters escape into the arcade.

This game looks like golden ass, but no one can deny its superior gameplay.

I've never told anyone this story, but I was once kicked out of a water park for bullying a kid into giving me quarters for Golden Axe. To this day, it's the only game my conscience stops me from emulating.

Weird, I think the only part of it that aged well is the graphics. The gameplay is stiff and sluggish but it looks great.

I still technically own a golden axe cabinet, although it is in a friends possession. It was the last machine I bought before I came to my senses, I need to own a home before I buy anymore shit like this.

I played the fuck out of Golden Axe at the local sub shop for a few years.

It hasn't aged that well but I still love it.
