So it's safe to say loony conservatives have shifted from the Rapture narrative to the Fallout narrative.
I think it's a sign of declining religiosity but not declining paranoia. That said the Rapture didn't necessitate hoarding guns, so this might be for the worse as far as changes go.

We will eventually decide that the right believed in climate change from the beginning, they just had a different idea of how to deal with it.
My latest take is that the extreme right realized that climate change was a great way to commit genocide without feeling bad about it.
