Large numbers of people say any number of incorrect and/or misguided things on a daily basis. Discussion isn't necessary.

Old Zircon, as a woman, I’ve thought about this discussion a couple times. The best I can bring to the table is to compare this to Jewish women getting rhinoplasty. Of course women should be free to do what they want to their bodies. If cosmetic surgery makes them feel more empowered and raises their self esteem, more power to them, but I think it’s fair to ask if some procedures aren’t done for the right reason/ are unhealthy/ prey on women and don’t have their best interests in mind/ unintentionally send a negative (or toxic, if you will) message to other women.

The most problematic thing here is that righty hangs consistently lower than lefty and that bothers me. :/

It's not quite that. If you're going to use that analogy, it'd be like a Jewish woman getting rhinoplasty to have her nose completely removed from her face, and perhaps having a crater created for good measure.

As a reasonably average man, I wouldn't mind having an extra inch or so 'down there' -- that's pretty normal. But if I became obsessed with having a 38' cock, that'd be pathological.

This woman is pathological.

It's more like if there was an industry that aggressively pushed the idea that common Jewish facial features were unattractive while also charging huge amounts to give people comprehensive cosmetic surgery to turn them into stereotypical blonde haired, blue eyed ARYAN archetypes.


It's the perpetuating narrow, unachievable ideals of beauty while also selling a service that purports to let you achieve them that's the problem. But that's nothing new, it's just that this is an extreme example of an increasingly extreme industry.


But then I'm still stuck in a lot of second-wave Feminist ideas when it comes to the fashion and beauty industries, so feel free to ignore what I'm saying.
