His point that Hollywood only cares about LGBTQ people as long as they get their money, and bury the gays the second it's not profitable, is entirely reasonable.

Of course, that's what the alt-right does. Make some reasonable point that even the queer fans would agree with, in order to pretend it's not just bigotry. And for the rest of their audience, sandwich that point by dripping contempt on the idea of recognizing queer people, talk about how including queer people is always "forced" but straight people aren't, and meanwhile orgasm themselves into a puddle whenever there's a trailer for the Punisher, because "he's like me!"
