Recently I’ve been talking to a researcher studying the ride of what he calls “The New Demonologie”, which is this growing bolus if nascent supernatural populism. It’s a sort of popular response to the collapse of hierarchical Christianity, a shift that is deliberately not being reported. Unfortunately, New Demonologie is extremely racist, sexist and self-serving in ways mainstream Christianity could not openly be.
