I've heard third hand antidotes from people who have dealt with similar assholes personally. They're as bad as you think they are.

"Oh yeah, I am contributing to the problem. But I'll be dead before the serious consequences come around. That'll be somebody else's problem." Is really their philosophy. They know climate change is real. It's just they don't give a shit.

So they operate as less a contributing member of the human race and more somebody that frankly hates humanity but loves themselves. They're going to use their time as a self aware being to treat existence as a hotel trashing, rain forest burning frat party. Because fuck other humans.
