I DIDN'T SAY THAT THING I JUST SAID, YOU MORON!

Imagine if he had died while we still remembered him as the brave mayor who led New York in the aftermath of 9/11.

Anaxagoras - 2019-09-28

Even then, he had been kind of a douchey & racist mayor.

One good moment doesn't make up for a lifetime of douchebaggery. Fuck this guy.

Meerkat - 2019-09-28

He was never brave or even fucking sane. He was in the right place at the right time and seemed more or less competent because he went to photo-ops and said "Nine Eleven" a bunch of times.

This is the guy that outlawed pet ferrets in New York City because "rabies" and then went off on a guy that tried to explain that dogs were more susceptible to "rabies" because they run around outside more.

Maggot Brain - 2019-09-28

"the brave mayo who led New York in the aftermath of 9/11."

Binro the Heretic - 2019-09-29

Sorry, I forgot sarcasm doesn't translate well as printed text.

What I meant to convey is the fact he's going to die with everyone knowing what a scumbag he is and we won't have to endure all the touching tributes he would have gotten.

SolRo - 2019-09-29

Don’t worry, the news will still gush about him during 9/11 and handwave away everything else as “controversy later in his life”

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-09-30

Let's remember, if 911 had happened today, President Clownshoes would probably manage to get into a Twitter flame war with whoever the mayor of New York was. He did it with the mayor of London during a terrorist attack, and he managed to do it with the mayor of San Juan during hurricane Maria. This is the kind of leadership that Rudy is promoting these days.

A next-door neighbor in Brooklyn was a firefighter who died 2 years ago from lung damage he picked up at the WTC in 2001.

He could not say this man's name without adding just about every expletive there is.

The people that deserve cancer seem to be immune to it.

Maybe when your soul is that fucking toxic it just functions like omnipresent chemotherapy

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2019-09-30

Nothing that Guliani has said in the past few years has been so straight up insane as his speech at the last RNC.

Evil

cognitivedissonance - 2019-09-28

The bizarre combination of absolute hubris combined with blinkered solipsism on these people. They will never admit error, and they have such contempt for everybody else that appeals for the benefit of the doubt are insults.

Anaxagoras - 2019-09-29

This is an amazingly good summary of these people. I'm going to steal this.

Stopheles - 2019-10-01

I must say, as someone who's lived in NYC since Dinkins was mayor, that I'm happy to see Giuliani losing his undeserved reputation as a "great leader" that he gained by, um, spending more time at Yankee Stadium than in Lower Manhattan in September and October 2001. He was a scummy, racist, hypocritical mayor, then an opportunist pundit, and now an amoral enabler to the worst person in America who happens to also be the most powerful person in America, and I hope that the dementia that seems to be setting in is actively painful.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2022-11-01

And then, things got weird.
