Back when Disney wasn't afraid to take a chance now and then.

It really feels like Disney is trying to market being inclusive by just taking their normal safe Princess stories, and sometimes making it about a non-white person in a vague semblance of their native culture that is nothing but window dressing to the story.

Lilo and Stitch was different. While it wasn't about being Hawaiian, it's story that involved things a person in that community would actually have to deal with (excepting the aliens). Aloha oe wasn't just to just show off "This is my culture! Buy it on merchandise" but simply how someone expressed emotion and shared experience within their own culture.

Anyway, it was a good movie, more like it please.
