It's a little to close to the first boss I had when I started my current job (who was also an alcoholic with an unwarranted sense of self-importance) who would text or call me while drunk in the middle of the night before work ("I don't need to sleep, therefore my employees don't need to sleep"). I'm willing to bet Diane's the kind of person who wants to be BFFs with her employees and thinks she's entitled to know intimate details of their life, but turns around and pulls the "I'm the boss and superior to you" card the second it's convenient.
