We need to vote in the midterms. EVERY midterm. Democrats could elect Jesus Christ (the liberal version) to the presidency, and he's not going to be able to fix anything if you're gonna stay at home so he gets a Republican congress.

Because Democrats didn't show up in 2010, Republicans controlled State legislatures in the year after a census, and we got 10 years of gerrymandering.

Have we learned that we need to vote in every election? In some ways this is easy for me to say, I'm white, live in mostly white precioncts, and though I've voted almost every two years since I cast my first vote fior Jimmy Carter in 1976, I can only remember one time when I've had to wait in line but I'm saying it anyway. Viote in every election. When Republuicans lose they respond by becoming angry and radical. Just like when they win.

It wasn't just the midterms. We let Obama get away with a lot of shit we shouldn't have. We let our members of Congress capitulate to the Republicans on really important shit.

We need to ride the asses of every elected motherfucker until they do what we want. We need to make them feel like they're in the middle of a wide open plain during a hailstorm until they have no choice but to seek the shelter of obedience to us.

The right aren't the majority. They only get their way because they're the squeakiest wheels. We need to show these public servants what squeaking really is.

No, it was just the midterms. The reason why congress capitulated to the Republicans was because... see if you can follow me here... it was because most of congress was Republican. And that happened when? In the 2010 midterms.

Same thing happened to Bill Clinton. Democrats will move to the left when the left reliably votes, making it safe for them to move to the left.
