Somber piano music always makes me think of "Two Girls One Cup".

In good times, fuck you, I got mine. But in bad times, we’re all in this together.

I've replied to local companies who use the pandemic as an opportunity to advertise, especially when they re-add me to their spam lists. I tell them I take these things into consideration when choosing where I spend my money. Of course the ones who aren't spamming me are probably spamming their own former customers. This makes me hate everything.

I can't fault the messaging. "We're in this together" is what we should all be saying. When Mitt Romney said "Corporations are people, my friend", that's actually true, though obviously, there are limits. It's not just shareholders. The people who work at my local CVS are always courteous, and damned helpful, and this messaging is for and about them.

And people are not perfect. They have good motives and bad motives, sometimes both at the same time. I'm not going to be too critical right now. Because we're all in this together.

But the lack of imagination, the caution, that FUCKING PIANO MUSIC... it's hilarious! I consider this to be a good-natured laugh.

I hate these, I watch TV to escape the news.
