80s Toyota trucks were INDESTRUCTIBLE.

I have a 1995 Pickup, the last ones made before the Tacoma was brought out. It's an automatic transmission, which loses me some street cred but that's ok. It had the mid-level "DX" trim package, so I have AC and a digital clock. Rear-wheel-drive only, 4 cylinder inline engine.

I'm pretty happy with it. I hope to have this car around until our society outgrows its dependence on such devices.

hang onto that man, it was built to last. Just keep changing the oil and look after the tranny.

Yep, I've put in a bunch of repairs already - alternator, power steering gearbox and pump, some kind of tie-rod. I'm getting that underbody rustproofing stuff done, but I barely drive it in winter anyways. I tell the mechanics "I don't need showroom condition but I want this truck to still work in 20 years".
