It's not so much guys like this sperging over it, so much as it is people tired of designs like this becoming the norm in so many places, animation, illustration, be it the so-called "CalArts" style or the other, more disturbing, "Humans of Flat" design you see everywhere now, all of those ugly figures drawn in a flat, minimal style, with skin in a bright, pastel blue, pink, or green, and gangly, disproportionately large arms and legs, an often egregiously ugly cartoonification of people, a grotesque form of marketing propaganda that illustrates people in a manner akin dehumanized ice cream cones.
