A few years ago, I had to tackle the extremely upsetting (it was truly traumatic) issue of an academic colleague having committed extensive plagiarism. This was no Dershowitz, so the stakes were much lower, but I re-watched these videos at the time, and it made me beyond furious that such a clear-cut case as this was excused by Harvard. Whenever this happens, and it happens a lot at elite institutions, it does untold damage to the work of real scholars. Finkelstein was in this case a hero, and he paid the price.

Now he's been furiously Tweeting about how he was on Epstein's Pedophile Island but didn't see anything untoward going on and besides he was there with HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER, let him stress that again, his WIFE AND DAUGHTER and also that Ghislaine Maxwell probably did nothing wrong.

Giuffre also claimed that Epstein, Maxwell and others had physically and sexually abused her...Prince Andrew, Epstein, and Dershowitz all denied having had sex with Giuffre. Dershowitz took legal action over the allegations."


He sued the accuser for defamation.
