That is good vid, compared to VHS. I have an S-VHS deck, don't know if it's still working, but even then I didn't record anything in Super VHS, so I never tried that function.

I started in TV just as digital was taking over. I had no idea how high quality S-VHS was, this is a fantastic resolution for tape.

I can see why it didn't take off but damn if analog consumer grade didn't have potential.
