this show scared the ever loving shit out of me as a kid.

oh, and the kid was caught.

Dear God, the creepy kid's commentary, the music, Stack's voice... to this day, it is impossible for me to watch this show in the dark. It literally sends shivers up my spine.

This profoundly creeped me out when I first saw it as a child. Now, it sounds incredibly dorky and juvenile. I still get a slight chill up my spine when I hear this show's "Update" music.

Is it wrong for me to laugh at the Satanism part? Also, what the hell was up with that fake maniacal laughter? You're trying too hard, putz. Just let the fire do the talking.

And yeah, this show scared the living Jesus out of me when I was little. Everytime I saw it, I spent the next week convinced that someone in my neighborhood was a serial killer/ arsonist/ ritual Satanic abuser, just waiting for me to drop my guard so they could do something creepy.

1. What are the chances dad was hoping that unmarked tape was free bootleg porn? 2. I knew D&D was a big satanic scare in the 80s. I had no idea the innocent pestle was included in such senseless persecution. 3. I loved UM as a kid.

TinManic - 2007-06-15

BUT WHO IS OMAR!?! -3 FOR THAT.

MK_Ultra - 2007-06-15

"205 Feeds into several major highways, so authorities believe the fire could have happened ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES, OH HOLY SHIT!"

Also, media scripting disasters like "a pestle that would typically be used to grind herbs for satanic rituals" confused the hell out of me as a kid. Something like that would cause me to see a pestle in anybody's house tell my parents that such-and-such were Satanists because they had Satan tools.

I like how it sounds like Snidely Whiplash recorded the video. Or maybe Beavis.

Coincidentally, Stack's best work remains Beavis and Butthead do America.

ENHANCE! ENHANCE! Pan and zoom. Rotate that fire truck 45 degrees. Yes. YES. Get me a capture shot of that truck insignia. Print.

DopeFiend - 2008-11-08

Some pathetic little nerd burned down a house. The whispered fake-crazy-laugh is one of the lamest things I've ever heard. All in all, about as scary as a basket of puppies.
