In the plane going into Hong Kong I remember being very apprehensive about all the brightly lit signs rapidly encroaching around me.. I was about 9 at the time so I don't remember much more

Sentimentalism is nice and all, but giant neon signs are a huge waste of electricity, apply them to whole cities running 24/7 and that’s a large greenhouse gas generator.
