A childhood favorite!

A jolly cavalcade of crude ethnic stereotypes!

(They just don't make 'em like that anymore.)

compare it to "Long-Haired Hare", made a few years earlier, and it becomes an obvious that it's nothing more than a crude rip-off.

Same situation and song but the gags are totally different. Warner Bros. owes their whole sense of humor to Tex Avery anyway. If it wasn't for Tex they'd never have stopped copying Disney, so does that make things even?

You're crazy. Not the same at all.

I don't know what the story behind the hair is, but it's brilliant.

Aubrey McFate - 2007-07-24

That was the best part. Didn't expect it in the least.

Tex actually tried doing that 'hair in the projector' gag about a decade earlier in the Warner Brothers cartoon Aviation Vacation (1941), but the animation isn't nearly as good. Supposedly, they had to put a warning label on the Magical Maestro print cans to let the poor projectors know that hair was supposed to be there...

There are a lot of job interviews I would have loved to have followed up with this. Minus the racial stereotypes.

Caminante Nocturno - 2007-07-23

Those rabbits made for some of the bets props and sight gags in cartoon history.

Riskbreaker - 2009-08-14

The racial stereotypes are perfect for this era of "racial sensibility" and morons demanding everyone.
