Put this guy next to a video of a fundamentalist Christian and watch them synch up. Same logic-free arguments against atheism, same "only my people's problems matter" attitude, and of course random shots at evolution that go nowhere. There's hardly any real difference between the two groups, no wonder they hate each other.

Of course, Dawkins' solution of "well, we'll just get rid of religion, and we'll start with the incredibly hardcore fundies like this guy here" is just as silly as anything else (though thankfully less violent.) Both he and crazy muslim guy think the solution to all life's problems is "get rid of the people whose worldview differs from mine."

Religion aside, what I found really interesting was that the muslim guy couldn't comprehend that "women dress themselves". It's a completely incomprehensible idea to him that a woman might have a mind of her own.
I think the problem with most religions is they tend to be terribly patriarchal in nature.

In a slight defense of Crazy Muslim Extremist #1,000,000, I've heard this interview has been edited out of context with the questions. It's just a rumor, and it doesn't hold much water. The way that it's shot, the panning from Dawkins to the intervieweé, lends it a lot of credibility. This guy is just absolutely out of his mind.

He's so far into the extremist mindset (justifying murder, hardcore religious rhetoric), and I think it stems from some kind of self-loathing guilt (of his Jewish ethnicity). He sees a desperate, almost laughably absurd cycle of death and destruction, and he feels radical Islam is the answer. Well, guess what? IT'S NOT.
