And I saw the song in the nightclub make a bunch of frat guys cry one time.

Of his modern setting films, I like The Bad Sleep Well best, but this one is also tremendous. My personal favourite part is the lonely song in the bar.

All movies made prior to and in 1953 are in public domain under Japanese law.
