It is worth noting, this is a NEW preview of SH0. I submitted it mainly as a curiosity, not as a "WOW THIS ROCKS" kind of thing.
Some of you may have remembered the awful videos going around the internet where the gameplay was ripped from RE4 and even most of the creatures were more mutant-zombie than anything SH-esque. The graphics were also horrible, not even befitting the original PSX Silent Hill game.
All that has been changed and most of the development team has been replaced from the original all-American developers, though it is all still in the same studio, Climax.

voodoo_pork - 2007-08-10 Silent Hill 4 was not originally designed to be a SH game. It was a generic survival horror bullshit budget title that got picked up by Konami. They, in their blind, stupid greed, packaged it as a SH game.
And the rest is shitty, forgettable game history.

StanleyPain - 2007-08-10 Sorta. SH4 began life as a new title developed by Team Silent that was originally conceived as being the possible start of a new horror franchise. After it grew a bit, Konami wanted it branded as Silent Hill and worked into SH somehow, which is why the storyline is so awkwardly retrofitted into the SH mythos.
