Man, this thing was the Macarena of videogames.

snothouse - 2007-08-21

How I will remember the 90's:
Everything got a "Crow" revamp.

Scynne - 2007-08-21

Damn, that game has rocked my world for almost seven years now.

Aubrey McFate - 2007-08-21

McGee is now working on a 24 part episodic game based on the Grimm tales. I can't wait.

Aelric - 2007-08-21

actually, American McGee is eating garbage out of my apartment dumpster every night. i gotta chase him away by throwing unsold copies of "bad day L.A." at him. but he keeps coming back.

sorry, but he lost me with scrapland and bad day l.a. and no amount of nostalgia to alice will fix that. maybe he'll suprise me, but i think alice was a fluke.

Aubrey McFate - 2007-08-21

I was being sarcastic. The only good things McGee made were Doom II levels.

OldScratch - 2007-08-21

A couple of long forgotten child stars from the dot-com era said it best:

'[...] if your goal is to make a crazy game, don't blow all the craziness on tilting the doorframes at quite frankly insane angles. Save a little crazy for the gameplay. Lastly, American McGee can brood on his own goddamn time. I just gave you forty dollars, McGee, now dance for me sad clown.'

I wonder what happened to those guys.

They disappeared into a secret service detention facility in the late 90s. Write your congressman!

All things considering, this was a pretty good game. The weapons were kind of terrible though.

I hear they're making it into a movie with Sara Michelle Gellar.

That might have been a good idea if they did it when either was relevant.

Pandatronic - 2007-08-21

I'm kind of disappointed that he never went through with his Wizard of Oz game.

zatojones - 2007-08-21

I guess he used up all his crazy, tilted doorways and off-speed lullabies in Alice and didn't have enough left for future projects.

Operation Cornflakes - 2007-08-21

The game wasn't bad. Wasn't great, though. Good enough for a playthrough. Thanks for reminding me of a game I'd all but forgotten.

Feyd - 2007-08-21

American McGee and Todd McFarlane should get together and have a retarded baby. That baby should then get beaten up by Neil Gaiman's slightly less retarded baby.

bongoprophet - 2007-10-02

did you just diss Neil Gaiman?

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2007-08-21

This game was bullshit.

Xiphias - 2007-08-21

here's a riddle: when is a croquet mallet like a billy club?
I'll tell you: any time you want it to be.

The game wasn't that bad, although the concept was embarrassing as hell.

TrafficCone - 2007-08-21

This game was a lot of fun. I seriously enjoyed the little societal jabs here and there (animal testing on the white rabbit, etc) and the creepy atmosphere. Now, Scrapland was terrible.

revdrew - 2007-08-21

This was a very average platformer with way too much goofy edginess to it. It didn't, and still does not, deserve any of the attention it got.

Caminante Nocturno - 2007-09-19

Man, I hate the 90's.

Quad9Damage - 2007-12-01

Wow, computer graphics looked really good seven years ago.

Oh wait, those are all cutscenes aren't they? Anyway, I never played 'Alice', but I've always been curious about it.
