Seriously this is an awesome jam but her new stuff kinda reeks.

zatojones - 2007-08-22

Poor girl incurred the Curse of Philadelphia by producing her album here

Roachbud - 2007-08-22

I would rather clean my ears with steak knives than listen to this garbage.

Evilhead - 2007-08-22

I suggest you do

Harold Manchester - 2008-09-25

Seconded. I'd rather clean out her vocal cords with steak knives.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2007-08-22

Wait, so the new one's no good? I heard it was great...

kthorjensen - 2007-08-22

What I've heard is kind of empty and not very compelling.

theSnake - 2007-08-22

+1 star because she has a pretty face.

More annoyingly repetitious "music" made by a computer. The music track from Castlevania sounds more compelling and actually loops less than this I think.

Put a pretty girl in a studio with enough computers and production software and you either get this video or a porno, and I would have preferred the latter.

Grats on bad taste everyone.

kthorjensen - 2007-08-22

HEY KIDS

I'M A COMPUTER

STOP ALL THE DOWNLOADING

Eroticus E - 2007-08-23

GRATS

Angel Carver - 2007-08-23

While I respect your opinion Snake, I question the phrase "with enough computers and production software." I mean, in the case of this song and video, one each probably did the trick.

glasseye - 2007-08-22

Ugh.

Meatsack Jones - 2007-08-22

If there was a zero option, this would get it. Nothing catchy, lyrics are intelligible, and the lack of any production value negates any attractiveness on her behalf.

It is, however, a shining example of the lowest rung todays music has reached.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2007-08-22

I think you mean "unintelligible"

Meatsack Jones - 2007-08-22

Aye, not sure what my petulant fingers were doing at that point.

Evilhead - 2007-08-22

It's called going out to a club to go dancing.

Something most basement dwellers don't do often, yes, but you should have at least some idea what social animals do from time to time.

quining - 2007-08-23

This is the beardliest comment in the history of POETV. Remember where you were this day.

kthorjensen - 2007-08-23

God, we get it, you huge fag, you give one star to every video with a brown-skinned person in it. YOU ARE A HUGE FAG.

Angel Carver - 2007-08-22

+1 just as an FU to the haters.

Also, Kala is rad.

Meatsack Jones - 2007-08-22

I am sure Linkin Park and Fergie are well represented on your IPod.

Angel Carver - 2007-08-22

Korn and Gwen actually, but good guess!

Atomic Powered Jack-O-Lantern - 2007-08-22

This is horrible. Why would you do this to us?

Pandatronic - 2007-08-22

:(

hornung - 2007-08-22

I just got back from the record store and had the new one in my hand. They were playing it in the store as I kept up my shopping. I heard the whole thing and had put it back on the shelf by the fifth track. The first album was catchy, and the DIPLO remixes are even better. New one is dull.

I'm much more looking forward to my Lync cd. I've been looking for that for ages.

Severian - 2007-08-22

Yuk.

Afgh - 2007-08-23

FUCK THE HATERS!!!!!!!!!

Angel Carver - 2007-08-23

Everyone pissing and moaning on this thread just download "Paper Planes" off the new album, stick it up your ass, and then try telling me you don't feel awesome.

Stopheles - 2007-08-23

The first time I heard this, I thought "MAH GAWD, STOP THE MAYUTCH -- this is like a Nenah Cherry grime album!!"

Love the first album, but man oh man did she stiff at the Coney Island Siren Fest this summer...

revdrew - 2007-08-23

Um.. it's ok, I 'spose.

Ghoul - 2007-08-23

I like it. Not 5 stars, but good.

Bisekrankas - 2007-08-23

I just dont like it

System of a Clown - 2007-08-23

My group, the amazing hip-hop duo known as The Medicated Machines, recorded a song called "Where Were You in '92" referring to when the West Coast, and many of our early influences, were peaking.

This bitch has a track with the same name on her record. Now what do we do?

Stopheles - 2007-08-23

At least you weren't in the process of writing and recording a straight-ahead-no-content-other-than "my lyrics are the shit/your lyrics are just shit" track called "Ground Zero" in late summer 2001...

theSnake - 2007-08-24

You should get the group back together and record a track called Galang Galang, but instead of a hot Indo girl and a casio keyboard you could have people that either play instruments, sing well, or write compelling lyrics.

That would learn her!

halon - 2007-08-23

I loved the Arular album (I was playing it at work just this week), but you guys are making me worried about the new one. THANKS, E-PEOPLE.

Really though, meatsack jones and snake should probably give up on having opinions about music.

theSnake - 2007-08-24

You are a piece of shit and probably listened to Dave Mathews in college until people like myself and Meatsack laughed you out of the dorm cafeteria for having such blowful taste in music.

DID THAT HIT CLOSE TO HOME YOU DOUCHE

CornOnTheCabre - 2008-12-11

You really, really wish a dramatic culmination of woefully misguided elitism like that would ACTUALLY happen, dont you?

Poor little guy.

EvilHomer - 2007-08-25

I was torn between giving this a 1 because it's annoying, a 5 because she's hot, or 3 because, despite being annoying, the song is kinda catchy in a Bollywood-meets-retarded-Jamaican-dancehall way, but Snake and Meatsack have convinced me. 5 it is!

DAMN YOU MAINSTREAM MUSIC, WHY CAN'T YOU BE LESS APPEALING?!

smoothbrain - 2008-09-22

Hottie, fat beats, can rap, 5 stars

Jeff Fries - 2009-06-10

ONE HIT WONDER EH

pyslexic dharmacist - 2014-05-09

Not 5 stars, but I hereby challenge everyone who 1-starred this: take a mediocre 90s one hit wonder and turn it into something I hear at hipster parties. *mic drop*
