"[The Gate] plus the House and Phantasm movies were the only good horror movies made in the 80s"

ps chet your "check for duplicates" thing is totally not working. Part of the problem is that my tag, and the tag on the other trailer, is "the thing" not "the" and "thing". The verify feature should probably parse the tags the way the rest of the site does.

Zatjones is way off, or maybe s/he was just being provocative. Off the top of my head: the Thing here are some great 80's horror movies: shining, evil dead, american wearwolf in london, creepshow, !!!!hellraiser!!!!, children of the corn, day of the dead, living dead, poltergeist, nightmare elm street.

But maybe my standards are low. Or maybe I am engaging in a bit of nostalgia and these films dont stand up to modern viewing.

Fine, fuck you.

who can forget the horror of "RETURN OF THE SECAUCUS 7"

Maxville - 2007-10-04

The Thing is clearly science fiction and not horror. Kidding.
What about the 1980 version of The Fog? That was pretty good.

I suspect the DIABEETUS image macro would be a lot more popular if people remembered Wilford's role in this movie.
