Is that supposed to be Topcat?
|
Hugo Gorilla - 2007-11-15 I think it's Hokey Wolf and not Top Cat but both characters' voices are imitations of Phil Silvers.

This is awful.
Why is the foreground crap heading the wrong way?
|
|
EvilHomer - 2007-11-16 That wouldn't make the crap on the stairs move in the wrong direction (unless the crap were somehow attached to revolving gears), and even if you could find a way to explain the staircase, it wouldn't explain all the running furniture on the ground level.
|
|
yoyo1 - 2007-11-20 It would work only if the camera was tracking the character, from the other side of a spiral staircase, but in this case we should see some other parts of the staircase betrween us and the character.

So why didn't the purple-knit-cap-with-eyeholes ever catch outside of cartoonland?
|
Rovin - 2007-11-15 Sued into homelessness and prostitution by that one kid from Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids.

Topcat sounds exactly like Comic Book Guy.
|
Merzbau - 2007-11-15
This hurts to watch on both a physical and spiritual level.
|
bongoprophet - 2007-11-15
THIS is supposed to be 3D? Disneys The Old Mill from 1937 is look infinitely more realistic. Not that I know why someone would want realistic cartoons anyway.

A small squirrel was about to be crushed by a gear designed by MC Escher, but a bag of money saved him. -1 for that.

And people wonder why anime caught on.
5 stars for AMAZING 3D GRAPHICS!

athodyd - 2007-11-15
4 stars for Yogi's completely useless and physics-defying hat trick

snothouse - 2007-11-15
Later, "Yo Yogi" was sued for encouraging youth to sleep on highways.

doc duodenum - 2007-11-15
Hanna-Barbera knows nothing about animation, so why would they know anything about 3D?
|
baleen - 2007-11-15
I'm upset that Yogi didn't cruise around on a skateboard.
|
Blank_Slate - 2007-11-15
The "3D" could only be view if you were wear a pair of funky 3D viewing glasses that they gave away for free inside certain food products.
Why I remember this, I have not a clue.

bang to buck ratio - 2007-11-16
I can't believe I watched all of this. Five shame-filled stars.

Spit Spingola - 2007-11-16
Why are Yogi & Boo Boo wearing clown clothes? It's great how Hanna Barbara created a few funny characters like Yogi and Quickdraw McGraw completely by accident in the 50's and then proceeded to gay them up more and more every year. I'd never seen this, which was made when they finally reached the top of Mt. Horrible.

Gamara II - 2007-11-16
The only good that ever resulted from Hanna-Barbera is the Venture Brothers, and that's a really loose connection. Everything else was unbridled evil. I'm 5-staring this for being so monumentally terrible though.

The parallax on the spiral staircase made my eyes bleed.

RandomFerret - 2008-03-22
This show was like the hanna-barbera version of Kingdom Hearts.
|
dementomstie - 2008-04-29
I remember this show! The stuff in the foreground is what made the show "3D", you could get glasses in Capri Sun that made the foreground more...foregroundy? and the cue to put the glasses on was Yogi spinning his hat. This is the show where Yogi and the gang were all teenagers that lived in, I think, Jellystone Mall. Oh man I remember this show being bad, but I don't remember it being THIS bad.
